Files on External/Flash Drive Changed to Shortcuts - What's this?
Files on External/Flash Drive Changed to Shortcuts - What's this?
A: It is a virus. (period)
Issue
I had a problem with my flash drive it appears to have changed all my file names to short cuts. I believe I’ve cleaned the virus but how do i get my files back so that I can view them?Solution
* If you did not format your flash drive, then check whether the files are not in hidden mode.* Click on “Start” –>Run–>type cmd and click on OK.
* Check your external Drive letter in My Computer
* Here I assume your external drive as G:
* Enter this command.
* attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:*.*
* Delete the unnecessary shortcuts.
Note: Replace the letter g with your flash drive letter.
Usually this happens when your system is affected by TOEUW.EXE malware/virus . Here is How to remove the TOEUW.EXE malware/virus.
Can't find your previous folder(s)?

Easy Cartoon Effect Tutorial in Photoshop
Easy Cartoon Effect Tutorial in Photoshop
This simple photoshop tutorial targets all photoshop-lover out there who wants to have a cartoon effect of an image or any picture. This helps to familiarize some photoshop effects that can be found in the filter tab.
So to start, please open in the photoshop the image or picture you want to edit (on my case i use an eagle image which i found in google). Duplicate it by just pressing in the keyboard the ctrl+j (to do this hold first the ctrl button then the letter j in the keyboard.)
Once you have the image to be edit please check first if its in RGB Mode - to check this go to Image bar > then mode > then under the menu bar if you see this words " RGB Color" with a check on the left side then its fine.
Once everything is ready, Go to Filter > Artistic > Poster Edge then click.
On the Poster Edges Screen, just leave the value as is. or change it if you want depending how the image looks ok to you. In my case this is my value: Edge thickness = 2 ; Edge Intensity = 1; Posterization = 2.
Then Press OK.
Next thing you do is we will adjust the Brightness & Contrast with the values: Brightness Value: 10 Contrast: 30 then OK.To do this go to Image> Adjustments > Brightness & Contrast...
Lastly, we will do an artistic cut out effect to give it that cartoon look. To do this, go to Filter > Artistic > Cut Out. And this is the final result look like!
Hopefully this tutorial gives you an idea on how to create a cartoon effect with the use of Photoshop. Actually you could play on other values to get it more a cartoon feel as you desired. Or just retouch it with the use of Illustrator.
Thanks for reading! Stay tuned coz we got more tutorials to come.
Cheers!!!

1) open your infected drive directory (example: drive F:\)
2) open tool, folder option, view tab
3) click “show hidden files & folders”
4) UNCLICK both “Hide extension for known file type” and “Hide protected operating system files (recommended)”
5) If there is a warning, just click yes
/* Now you should be able to see your lost file (its in transparent folder)*/
6) Enter the hidden folder, CUT all your file and PASTE it inside a new folder. (repeat this step for your other folder too)
7) Delete all old folders that is empty and also the annoying 1kB shortcut folder. (also any suspicious folder or icon such as desktop.ini, thumb.db etc that might be virus)
Dont forget to undo step 2 and 3 if your done.
/*if you’re infected by this virus again in the future, i recommend you to put all your files and folder in just ONE folder inside your external device.(so you dont have to repeat step 6 so many time)*/
